Email verification

Email verification confirms that the account owner controls the address associated with the Starfire account.

When verification is required

Verification can be required before Starfire enables account-recovery or other security-sensitive capabilities. A deployment can also use verification as a prerequisite for selected product features according to the active identity configuration.

Complete verification

  1. Sign in to the intended Starfire account.
  2. Open the verification action shown by the product when the account is unverified.
  3. Open the newest verification message sent to the account email.
  4. Follow the verification link.
  5. Return to Starfire and refresh account state if the UI has not updated automatically.
If the link has expired or was already used, request a new verification message. Do not repeatedly retry an older link after a new one has been issued.

Wrong account

If the verification page opens but the resulting account does not contain the projects, organization membership, or plan you expected, confirm that you signed into the intended Starfire identity.

Security guidance

A verification link is a temporary security-sensitive action. Do not forward it or paste it into support messages.
Verification proves control of the email address at that time. It does not replace session security, password protection, or organization permissions.
